CONCRETE BATCH PLANT OPERATOR

Concrete Placing Company is looking for talented, hard-working individuals to build highway projects. We are based in Boise, Idaho, which is a great place to live. Position

We seek a concrete batch plant operator for interstate and airport paving. The primary responsibilities for this position include help with the set up and take down of the portable concrete plants, coordinate the daily plant activities such as material delivery and the scheduling of truck drivers, perform and oversee basic plant maintenance, keep the necessary records required by various public agencies, and safely operate the concrete plant to produce the material necessary for completion of the project.

The Plant Operator supervises a crew of two or three depending on project size and coordinates the delivery of concrete by truck drivers.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years of concrete batching experience in ready mix or concrete paving or technical training or related experience. Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Any knowledge of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety is a plus.

The Company

For over 40 years, Concrete Placing Company has built projects such as local roads, intersections, interstate highways and airfield paving. We work in the western United States, primarily Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Montana.

Our work requires travel but we strive to have our people home on weekends. Most of the work is prevailing wage paying $40.00 to $50.00 per hour. For projects that require an overnight stay, the Company will pay a per diem or reimburse the cost to stay out-of-town. We compliment the pay with a benefit package that includes paid vacation, 401(k), profit sharing, and health insurance including vision and dental benefits. We can help with relocation expenses. The job is not seasonal.
