Conceirge Mortgage Loan Officer

SUMMARY:
Acts as the primary mortgage lending representative for select member referrals for First Mortgage and Home Equity Lending. Proactively manages key intermediary referral partner relationships. Assists peers when necessary by collaborating on complex transactions; coaching on effective communication; develop primary production strategies; and maintain exceptional quality and service standards. This role includes but is not limited to answering general questions, pre-qualification, new loan origination and processing support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coach and provide subject matter expertise for new sales staff.
  • Assist in the collection and assessment of data required to manage the referral and sales pipeline.
  • Proactively solicit mortgage referrals from assigned internal and external sources (SEG Partners acting as Real Estate Intermediaries, etc.).
  • Develop and lead mortgage related promotional events, activities and seminars.
  • Originate Home Equity loans via face to face and telephone sales presentations.
  • Originate 1st mortgage loans via face to face and telephone sales presentations.
  • Manage referrals for select member relationships.
  • Present peers in Consumer Lending and Deposit with referrals when possible.
  • Act as subject matter expert for new and existing members.
  • Respond to member inquiries and provide consultative services.
  • Take complete applications only. Complete all assigned Compliance review requests and submit assigned supporting requests such as locks in the time frame allotted.
  • Work with Loan Processors and underwriters to build teamwork through communication.
  • Meet all loan production, service, and quality goals through proactive and responsive self sourcing and pipeline management activities.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current trends, compliance requirements, and other industry changes.

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Most recent 5 years of production must include experience with conventional salable purchase money loans and purchase transactions from external referral sources.
  • Must have and be eligible to maintain an active NMLS License Number.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in residential lending.


OTHER JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have documented current referral sources.
  • Strong knowledge of FANNIE MAE/FREDDIE MAC and FHA Guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in applying credit risk principles to lending recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge and practical experience in applying credit risk principles to lending recommendations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial services related products and overall financial services operations.
  • Fluent in English/Spanish preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
