Computer Operator
The computer operator monitors all system console logs, journal files, and interfaces for irregularities and notifies appropriate Information Systems departmental personnel of any issues. The operator provides timely and appropriate response to service requests (i.e. Help Desk calls) from end users relating to software, hardware, and network issues, including the resetting of passwords, ensuring that all requests are properly documented and logged into the Help Desk system. Also, the computer operator performs minor hardware replacement for workstation such as keyboards, mice and monitors.

Qualifications: High School graduate. Two year technical degree preferred; current enrollment in a computer science curriculum considered. Minimum of one year’s experience in data processing or computer operations environment.
