We’re looking for a talented Community Manager to join our brand marketing team comprised of social media specialists, marketers, content creators and PR. You’ll help define and execute Craftsy’s community management program under a consistent brand vision with the goal of driving increased awareness & engagement. Our “community” is diverse including Craftsy members, instructors, pattern designers, influencer partners and more — all united by a common passion to express themselves through creativity. To excel in this role you don’t have to knit, crochet, quilt or bake… but it helps if you love someone who does (or have a passion of your own).

On any given day you might find yourself…

Drafting a message map to guide social media communications around a seasonal campaign

Developing a strategy for how to leverage influencers to drive maximum reach

Researching / implementing technology tools for optimized community management

Fielding a community survey to help guide new product development

Analyzing engagement data to inform future community-building tactics

Engaging with the communities via our social channels to nurture relationships and answer questions

Inventing new ways to showcase our members’ creative projects to maximize engagement and network effects

Working hand-in-hand with our creative partners to bring assets to life

Our ideal applicant brings…

1-3 years demonstrated experience in community management, ideally in-house but via an agency with top brands also okay

Superb written and verbal communication skills

Fluency in community management platforms and tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite

A balance of creative and analytical abilities; must be both inspired to build human community connection and excited about using data to drive decisions

Personal passion and/or deep appreciation of creativity through crafts, art or similar form of self-expression

Independence, efficiency, ambition… and definitely humor

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
