    Software Applications for DFUMC

DFUMC currently has a Communications Team with all volunteer members. At this time, there are not any standard software packages held by the church. This is something that needs to be built as the communications function gains credibility as its own focus area. With the exception of the Google Suite and Microsoft license that is currently overseen be the Webmaster volunteer, our church is working its best with free versions and relying on what volunteers have at their disposal at home. Therefore, the list below is a compilation of apps currently accessed and used by our team or viewed as future needs.

Our expectation of a Communications Director would include:

    Proficiency with:

    SquareSpace

    Weebly

    Windows Operating System

    Microsoft Office, including Publisher

    Google apps

    Mail Chimp

    LinkTree

Graphic design software, such as Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)

Familiar with Collaboration/Teamwork apps. DFUMC uses:

    WorkPlace

    AirTable

    Capable of:

Some promotional video recording and production

Social media administration and advertising (DFUMC is on Facebook, but will evolve)

Database systems management, report generation and analysis (DFUMC uses Servant Keeper and AirTable)

    Other possible areas are:

Uploading to the e-sign – this requires no software, only learning the system

Worship screens – ProPresenter to build the slides. (Right now, worship team works on the slides, but this responsibility could change, so more people knowing how, the better)

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $20.00 per hour

    Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • COVID-19 considerations:
The church is currently closed to any group gatherings, including worship. Worship is currently livestream only. When invited in, persons entering the church must follow CDC and MDHSS guidelines on social distancing and use of masks.
