Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary:

Under direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is responsible for the development and coordination of internal and external communication and marketing materials, provides support around public relations efforts, and assists with initiatives that increase awareness of HabiJax in the Northeast Florida region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Chief Administrative Officer on maintaining updated communication tools – both internal and external
  • Documents and updates procedures surrounding communications and marketing collateral and creates and updates collateral as needed
  • Executes operational plans for communications and marketing in alignment with the Strategic Plan and Board Committee
  • Helps execute communications and advocacy plan developed to raise public awareness of HabiJax and Habitat for Humanity
  • Coordinates and schedules internal communications and coordinates with Fund Development department on coordinated external communications
  • Ensures compliance with HabiJax and Habitat for Humanity brand guidelines
  • Stays up to date on studies and other white papers related to benefits of housing and homeownership for external communications
  • Regularly updates social media for the organization
  • Monitors and reports out as needed on social media and external site effectiveness
  • Maintains and updates organization website and intranet site. Reviews quarterly for needed design update
  • Prepares bi-monthly Board of Directors information packet
  • Provides support to the Administration staff as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License insurable by HabiJax’s insurance carrier
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications required
  • Strong written abilities; writing samples will be requested
  • Experience in website maintenance preferred
