Commercial Analyst – Commercial Finance

Under general guidance, prepares written bids, proposals and budget estimates in response to Requests for Proposals, for submission to the client. Also makes modifications to existing proposals and contracts and tracks revisions.

Primary responsibilities include:
Coordinating timely collection of data for proposal and budget development in response to Requests for Proposal.

Prepares accurate bids and proposals that conform to PPD contract requirements and meet client needs.

Gathers and analyzes data for proposals and contract modifications and tracks revisions on a timely basis

Communicates with Cost Analysts to develop payment schedules that conform to PPD requirements and meet client needs

Ensures accurate information is entered into the proposal and contract tracking database so that timely and accurate reports can be generated

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related area and

Minimum of 1-2 years experience in bid preparation and/or the development and fulfillment of contracts requirements; or minimum of 3 years providing technical/administrative clinical trial project support with demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility

Or equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (minimally Word and Excel)

General knowledge of contractual documents

High quality oral and written communication skills

Ability to handle high level of pressure and to multi-task

Ability to coordinate information from and follow up with diverse sources in order to meet clients’ requirements for proposal and budget development

Must be detail oriented

Strong analytical and math skills

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.

Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.

Physical Requirements:
Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.

Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.

Frequent mobility required.

Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.

Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.

Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.

Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.

Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.

Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
