COBOL Developer

Job Description: –

• Develop technical specifications for the COBOL application development
• Develop applications using COBOL from technical specifications with minimal supervision
• Test data gathering and development, and data cleansing
• Code and test application changes that are in adherence with methodologies and practices
• Create application documentation that are in adherence with methodologies and practice

Mandatory Skills: –

• Interpreting technical specifications for the purpose of COBOL application development
• Experience using JCL and IBM DB2 in an IBM mainframe environment
• Experience developing standard IT work products/deliverables such as test plans, flow charts, documentation, etc. within project timeframes
• Developing SQL queries for use in COBOL applications, test data gathering and development
• Unit testing, string testing and debugging of COBOL applications

Desired Exp: –

• Experience using VSAM in an IBM mainframe environment
• Experience in CICS development
• Developing SQL queries for use in data cleansing
• 2-4 years of Exp.
