Co-op: Financial Analyst (Fall 2017)

Purpose and Contents of the Role
The intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the students’ career goals through contacts with professionals in their fields of study. The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group by working on important and innovative projects. Interns are structured learning experiences where interns and our full time professionals work together on projects within their selected organizations. The intern assignments allow students to integrate knowledge and skills in manners that are mutually beneficial to the students and Volvo Group.
Responsibilities / Main tasks
Assist with Cost Deployment Focus Area and improve HAG financial results by:
Improving and standardizing plant-wide data used in CD loss calculation
Calculate and identify losses for CD Loops
Improve cost visability and follow-up CD projects
Support proactive/ preventative CD projects such as EEM and 5 years Operational Targets/KPI’s
Complete 3 kaizens
Data collection standardization and improvement (plant-wide)
DUGA Data used for equipment failure and minor stoppage losses
QRIT data used for system failure losses
Absenteeism data implemented into matrices Minimum Education Requirements
Applicants must be pursuing a finance or related degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Personal Qualifications
