IBM is hiring for the role of Client Executive – Seattle Region, responsible for a territory of Cloud and Managed Service Provider (CSP / MSP) accounts.

Cloud and Managed Service Providers is a fast-growing, and highly strategic segment of IBM’s market. Examples of CSPs and MSPs include born-on-the–cloud solution providers, functional specialists such as managed security service providers, and hosting companies, SaaS providers, ISV’s and data centers. CSPs and MSPs are both customers and partners to IBM – IBM sells to them and also teams with them on go-to-market activities. All of IBM’s portfolio is relevant to this market, including Watson and Cognitive Computing, Security solutions, IoT, IBM’s IaaS and PaaS Cloud offerings, Mobile, Analytics, Social and other software offerings, its hardware portfolio, services and financing. The Client Executive will lead the IBM sales teams supporting up to 40 Managed Service Provider accounts. You will be responsible for revenue growth and customer satisfaction in the assigned territory. You will manage and grow the client relationships including the development of strong Senior Executive (C-Suite) relationships. The Client Executive will also lead the account strategy and planning activities across our solution portfolio for the assigned territory, and own the resulting opportunity identification and progression sales efforts. In addition, you should have the following skills associated with this role;

A comprehensive knowledge of IBM strategies, offerings and technologies

A deep understanding of our organizational resources, priorities, and policies

A mastery of business acumen, including; an understanding of the customers’ business, industry, priorities, economic trends, issues and competitive landscape

The ability to apply information technology and leading edge solutions related to the client’s business

You will be experienced in the CSP/MSP market, bringing expertise in prospecting and relationship building, and should be able to tailor the CSP/MSP territory strategy to local conditions uncovering new opportunity and driving these deals to closure.

At least 5 years’ sales experience in Cloud Service Providers and / or Managed Service Providers with executive level client relationships.

At least 4 years’ experience in CAMSS (Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Social and Security) technology.

Existing relationships with Seattle Cloud Service Providers / Managed Service Providers, experience of working with traditional resellers and distributors, and IBM products is a plus.

7+ years of experience working with Cloud and Managed Service providers to build revenue generating services.

Experience in analyzing and understanding CSP market, trends, buying patterns and service drivers.
