We are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician in our Infrastructure group, based in our London office. The jobholder will provide CAD drafting and wider engineering services to the Infrastructure group on a wide range of projects using the latest CAD software and 3D modelling packages (Civil CAD, and/or 12D) to accurately illustrate engineering design solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to communicate technical subjects.
• Drawing/detail production from Engineers sketches.
• Project Draftsman for a number of projects, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions.
• Take responsibility for drawing issues and daily housekeeping in terms of both digital and hard copy project file storage.
• Responsible for ensuring delivery of drawing work to agreed project programmes.
• Able to develop engineering concept ideas into drawing details.
• Assist in developing systems and procedures to ensure that the CAD system is used effectively.
• Making sure that drawing production follows company standards.
• Managing document control systems

Essential Experience:
Significant relevant industry experience as a civil engineering technician, ideally with experience working on highway, drainage, landform and utilities projects.

Ability to prepare general arrangement and outline drawings.

Confident delivery of projects from masterplanning through to detailed design and construction

Good computer and IT skills; use of Microsoft Office software essential.

Able to produce quality diagrams and illustrations for publication of design competitions, aid to conferences and award entries.

3D skills and experience using Revit

Experience in working on major projects using a variety of software (Civils 3D, CADs RC etc)

Qualifications:

• BEng or equivalent qualification or HND or equivalent qualification
