Las Americas Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, creative team player who will lead our students and staff to success.

About Us

Las Americas Learning Center is an APPLE accredited child learning center which has been serving our community for twenty-five years. We focus on providing an educational, nurturing, and fun setting for our students and staff to develop and grow. Our goal is to provide and prepare our students with the necessary skills: emotional, cognitive, physical, and social to build a foundation for future success.

Currently, we are in partnership with the United Way and are one of the selected providers participating in the Early Head Start Program (EHS) in Miami.

Objectives of the EHS Program

• To provide safe and developmentally enriching caregiving which promotes the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of infants and toddlers, and prepares them for future growth and development;
• To support parents, both mothers and fathers, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children, and families in meeting personal goals and achieving self sufficiency across a wide variety of domains;
• To mobilize communities to provide the resources and environment necessary to ensure a comprehensive, integrated array of services and support for families;
• To ensure the provision of high quality responsive services to family through the development of trained, and caring staff.

Qualifications

• Florida Directors Credential
• CDA 45 Hours
• Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• Familiarity with Child Care Food Program (CCFP), Early Learning Coalition (ELC), Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Quality Counts Program, Licensing, and Accreditation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills
• Basic Computer Proficiency
• Bilingual
