Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the corporate senior executive team and is responsible for providing the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people, process and systems in place to effectively grow the organization, ensure operating efficiency and deliver exceptional operational and financial results. The COO is responsible for the oversight and leadership of internal operations nationally, to include directing and managing a team of operational leaders to ensure operations meet goals, meet best practices for quality, efficiency and financial performance and supports the mission and core values of the organization. The COO plays a major role in improving the member experience and in developing best-in-class client relationships. The COO ensures successful execution of business strategies, operating policies and quality management; oversees the development of the annual operating budgets and operating policies that support the organizations objectives; and interacts with the parent company management and Board of Directors as needed and/or requested.

Guiding the organization to deliver the 2018 business goals, objectives and planned business results;

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead the development of strategic operational plans.

Participate in the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.

Lead the operating team to achieve and surpass financial and business goals and objectives.

Lead the development, management and optimization of an effective planed and on-demand transportation network, delivering 70M+ trips per year

Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of operational processes. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and people designed to support the growth objectives of the organization.

Direct, motivate and lead a high performance senior management team to including (5) five SVP of Operations responsible for field execution as well as a staff of (5) functional Center-of-Excellence leaders.

Represent the organization with clients, investors and business partners

Interact with the parent company management and Board of Directors as needed

Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Work with sales and business development to respond to RFP’s, develop new lines of business and answer customer inquiries.

Collaborate with senior management to ensure successful implementation of new business/contracts/operation centers.

Promote and oversees strategic relationships between internal operations, stakeholders and external entities/clients.

Engrains a high-quality service orientation and customer focus into the organization

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health or related field strongly preferred

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health or related field a plus

EXPERIENCE

oA minimum of ten years of increasingly responsible management and operational experience, process improvement and process leadership experience, to include a minimum of five years’ experience in planning and directing operations at the senior manager and divisional level for at least a $500 million organization

Prior work experience as a Chief Operating Officer preferred

Transportation Network development, management & optimization experience and expertise strongly desired

Call Center experience and expertise strongly desired

Experience in healthcare services a plus

Must possess extensive experience in strategic planning and execution

Proven experience managing P&Ls, directing teams, negotiating with suppliers, managing complex tasks, providing analysis, and monitoring the quality metrics of work areas

Proven ability to work under pressure while demonstrating excellent leadership and motivational skills

Demonstrated skill in workforce management and work leadership of an organization employing a large number of professional and non-professional staff. Requires the ability to create plans for optimal use of staff and material resources of the organization

Ability to remain organized while dealing with competing demands

Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving, facilitation and conflict resolution skills

Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and build relationships with a broad range and level of staff including working collaboratively with the executive team and corporate Board of Directors

Must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its components and be highly familiar with using electronic mail as a primary form of business communication.
