Job Description

This position is responsible for the creation and processing of all change request packets, creation of controlled documents, tracking of packets and associated paperwork involved. This requires participation as an active team member in cross-functional teams and ownership of project team documentation. Responsibilities also include the origination, editing and revision of technical documentation.


This position is a temporary assignment which will include benefits such as (medical, health, dental, 401k). Eligibility for these benefits will be based on the eligibility requirements as determined by the BD Total Rewards policy, and is anticipated to last approximately through August 31, 2022.


Essential Job Functions:

1. Origination, editing and revision of technical documentation.

2. Creation of change request and associated paperwork utilizing the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

3. Participates in product launch documentation

4. Assists Project Managers in monitoring the progress of assigned project and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project

5. Complete ownership of team documentation for New Product Development (NPD), or product transfers, including creation and launch of change requests (CR).

6. Applies skills and develops documentation including operating procedures, process flow charts and manufacturing procedures.

7. Perform clerical duties as necessary, i.e. typing, filing, maintenance of databases, and preparation of general correspondence.

8. Uses various computer software applications to complete assigned work activities.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, possess excellent attention to detail, and have a desire to learn.


Basic Qualifications:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.

2. Previous experience in the medical device industry required.

3. Proven experience in working in a cross-functional team environment as well as the ability to function independently.

4. Ability to define and create solutions to challenges or opportunities

5. Ability to communicate with all levels of technical and operations personnel

6. Ability to complete position responsibilities with limited direct supervision

7. Ability to gather and organize information.

8. Ability to grasp technical terms, processes and methods.

9. Ability to handle a variety of projects at the same time.

10. Ability to prioritize and organize a busy and changing workload.

11. Ability to read documents in rough draft format and type/format documents consistent with corporate guidelines.


Education and/or Experience:

1. Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent academic credentials.

2. Minimum one year of industry experience in one of the following: change control, procedure writing, record retention and control, or customer service field.

3. Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

4. Prefer experience in a documentation related position, preferably in an FDA and/or regulated environment.

5. Experience in an electronic document management system, i.e. MasterControl, is desired
