COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Ornua Ingredients North America business is primarily focused on the industrial cheese sector from its base in Hilbert, Wisconsin. The business is a leading provider of functional cheese based solutions to the US food manufacturing industry through customer focus and value added initiatives, such as product customization, product reformulation and cost engineering.

Our functional dairy based product solutions are found in frozen entrees, appetizers and pizzas, sandwiches, cheese sauces and value added meat applications. Our customer base includes a number of blue chip companies.

Role Overview:

The CFO is the financial leader in Ornua Ingredients North America. The individual will have an influential role in the management of the business and have direct responsibility of the Finance and Customer Service functions. The CFO is expected to know the key drivers of the business, understand the cost pressures/dynamics behind each driver, forecast and provide financial insight into the strategic planning process.

Direct Reports : Director of Finance, Plant Accountant, Customer Service Manager, Inventory Clerk

Principal Duties as Chief Financial Officer:

  • As a member of the management team, provide strategic and financial management and leadership within the company
  • As a member of the Group Finance Team, contribute towards the overall success of the Group Finance function in supporting the Group business plan
  • Acting as a key partner to the President and providing support in development and implementation of a business growth strategy focused on profitability
  • Complete ownership of all financial management and reporting including Weekly, Monthly and Year-End reporting required by Group Finance
  • Monitoring and reporting performance against Company & Group KPI ´s
  • Tax and working capital management in accordance with Group personnel
  • Managing and developing the Finance and Customer Service team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve cost and operational efficiencies
  • System and process design and development to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Playing a key role in potential acquisitions

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Current position must be CFO
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior financial role, preferably as a CFO
  • Food industry experience a must; desirably in the dairy/cheese industry
  • CPA required
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful record of financial management, preferably gained in a dynamic, fast moving environment
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence at management level
  • Capable of initiating & driving change
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic commercial input to the business
  • Team player, skilled at balancing the requirements of the Company and the Group
  • M&A and Joint venture experience is desirable but not essential
  • Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications
