Description:

• The candidate must be in business between 5 – 10 years minimum and have at least five years of experience performing similar tasks ( Oracle Database/Application Server Support Services) both online and remotely and must be able to demonstrate that experience in a statement of qualifications.
• The contractor must also have Oracle DBA/Application Server certifications and have a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar tasks (Oracle Database/Application Server Support Services) both online and remotely.
• The candidate must also meet the technical requirements for remote monitoring and support.

Basic Support for Daily Monitoring/Performance Tuning of the Oracle Servers and Help Desk Support.

• Daily monitoring and performance tuning of the Oracle Servers and Help Desk Support should not exceed 1 hour per day from Monday to Friday (not including holidays) unless extra hours are requested for trouble-shooting.
• The selected contractor must have the ability to provide scripts to extract daily AWR reports for 3 time periods and provide the Fund with a comprehensive analysis of the database performance and comparisons with other previous reports.
• A quarterly system health check must be performed. The selected contractor will be required to test the entire backup and storing mechanisms currently in place, data guard failover/switchover, creating/cloning the database, checking/monitoring the database.

Hourly Support (Time and Material) for on-site work or remote trouble-shooting for critical issues (Server Crashes, Server Fails to start, Recovery/Restore) The selected will be required to:

• Provide PPF with an Oracle 10/11/12g Certified Database Administrator with years of proven expertise in a Windows 2008 R2 Environment or higher when an Oracle Application Server goes down with a problem.
• Assist the Fund’s IT staff in recovering from a database problem that could be caused by hardware or software failure.
• Assist PPF IT staff with Oracle Software upgrades/Patching on both the Database and Application Servers.
• Assist PPF IT staff with major version migration both on the Database and Application Server side.
