International Banking – Global Trade & Supply Chain Finance – Analyst

International Banking is part of the Commercial Bank and focuses on business with the overseas subsidiaries of our U.S.-based Commercial Bank clients. Global Trade is a critical element of a complete Commercial Banking client relationship, and an important building block of our International growth strategy. We offer financing and risk mitigation products to our Commercial Banking clients. Client solutions include Traditional Trade, Supply Chain Finance, Export / ECA Finance, Standby Letters of Credit, and Guarantees.

One of the key drivers of Trade growth is Supply Chain Finance, a complex and powerful working capital solution we offer to the Commercial Bank’s largest, most strategic clients. SCF is sold through a complex analytical process, and delivered with the help of specialized Program Managers who are responsible for every aspect of the client experience in order to deliver results for the client and revenue for the firm.

The Analyst will play an active role in the analysis and pitching process for new deals, and support SCF Program Managers with account management and supplier onboarding, and other related responsibilities. Through this experience, the Analyst will gain extensive, hands on experience with sales, relationship management, research and analysis, and solution delivery, positioning them well for a future role as a Program Manager or SCF originator.

Responsibilities:

  • Support program managers on evaluating opportunities for new programs; assist with existing priority accounts by directly engaging with suppliers for enrollment efforts.
  • Support the sales process with the preparation of analytical and marketing materials

    • Client/Buyer Spend File Analysis
    • Pitch Materials
    • Individual Supplier reviews
  • Focus on the client/buyer program goals by driving program ramp to deliver revenue growth

    • Supplier enrollment in-line with buyer strategy
    • Deliver an excellent enrollment experience for the suppliers
    • Buyer trainings
    • Follow established processes and procedures
    • Provide regular updates internally and externally
  • Serve as a point of contact internally and externally to handle day-to-day communication with buyers and suppliers

    • Coordinate with counterparts in other regions
    • Facilitate requests and inquiries across workflows including partners in Client Service, Operations, Contracts Management, Product and others
    • Identify challenges and escalate accordingly within the Risk and Control framework
  • Gain exposure to credit requirements and partnership with Distribution
  • Utilize internal databases and follow a high degree of integrity for reporting needs and analytics
  • Provide strategic support for management MIS needs
  • Contribute to the maintenance of program-specific road maps
  • Partner with broader team and Marketing partners to deliver best-in-class external engagements such as Supplier Days

The analyst will be exposed to the Commercial Banking Global Trade business with specific focus in Supply Chain Finance, with the following scope:

  • External and internal presentation support

    • Quarterly portfolio reviews with buyers
    • Quarterly business reviews with Trade Senior management
    • Ad hoc needs at the request of clients or internal stakeholders
  • Support and drive program readiness for priority clients

    • Coordinate global partners and requirements
    • Help facilitate the credit, product, and client implementation milestones needed for go-live
  • Opportunities to contribute to

    • External marketing efforts such as Supplier Days
    • Management of joint projects between Product and TSD
  • Management metrics including but not limited to

    • Program Manager scorecards
    • Dashboards
    • Program specific analytics
    • Supplier trends
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree and 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize information and prepare succinct presentations
  • The ability to be a highly motivated, productive team player
  • Strong in Pitch-Pro, Power Point and Excel
  • Permanent and/or unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
