ONLY candidates with Category Management experience will be considered. ONLY candidates with a 4 year college degree or similar work experience in analyst area will be considered.

The Category Manager is responsible for providing category solutions and shopper-based insights to drive category growth on assigned businesses or segments. The associate will manage the relationship with their account to include third party entities that work on behalf of the customer. The associate is responsible for conveying and receiving information relevant to the category and coordinating with their sales counterparts and cross-functional teams to deliver and execute effective business solutions in the area of category leadership, consumer and shopper insights.This position will require someone with:

• Multi-state beverage category management experience of 3-5 years or comparable financial analytics, shopper insights experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related business field or extensive industry/category experience

• Strong leadership characteristics and a proven teamwork focus

• Exceptional critical thinking and financial analytics abilities * Proven record of performance and growth
• Demonstrated knowledge of category management processes
• Advanced Experience with Panel and Scan Syndicated Data (IRI or Nielsen)

The basic duties of this position include:

• Develop annual and multi-year category business plans and execute the strategy across all stores

• Drive category review planning and presentations to company executives * Awareness and understanding of the category’s impact across all other areas of the P&L

• Responsible for retail pricing and contract option optimization to maximize category performance

• Aggregate data from multiple sources and perform deep analytics to develop insights to drive category growth

• Drive innovation and develop future growth plans in the categories to stay ahead of competition

• Maintain in depth knowledge of all contract options and obligations to maximize profitable growth

• Maintain superior relationships with vendors and manufacturers; enabling effective negotiations and business relationships that differentiate our company from others

• Visit stores and solicit feedback from Field Teams to gain insights into the realities of the business
