Casting Intern

BuzzFeed is looking for a Casting Intern to support the Casting Team and Reality Casting Associate Producer. The ideal candidate will have a particular interest in working in reality casting and assist in other areas of casting when needed.

This is a full-time paid internship based in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Casting Team, handling multiple projects at once with ease and organization
• Creatively source qualified candidates for diverse reality projects
• Ability to sensitively screen talent by phone or email
• Assist in scheduling auditions
• Help run casting sessions and prepare audition materials
• Sift through casting submissions, reels, and resumes
• Continually update the internal database of actors and reality talent
• Taking meeting notes during team meetings, brainstorms, etc.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Mac and Google Suite as well as basic knowledge of camera equipment as pertains to casting and auditions
• Strong interest in the reality casting and traditional casting processes
• Must be able to work well as a team as well as individually
• Capable of working on tight deadlines
• Social media and tech savvy
• Sales, marketing experience is a plus
• General knowledge of LA based experts in their field is a plus
• Positive attitude, friendly, outgoing
• Must be about to communicate effectively by phone or email
• Bilingual is a plus
