Responsibilities

United Heart & Vascular Clinic, a part of Allina Health, is a large contemporary cardiology practice serving patients from throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Our practice consists of 14 noninvasive physicians, 7 interventionalists and 4 electrophysiologists. We provide state-of-the-art cardiovascular services that include a structural heart team, a CTO program, the full spectrum of ablation procedures, a national referral site for laser lead extractions, a leading CRT program and a Research Division all supported by a contemporary imaging program.

United Heart & Vascular Clinic is part of the Allina Health Cardiovascular Service Line, which is comprised of more than 100 cardiologists, as well as, cardiac and vascular surgeons practicing in tertiary and quaternary centers of excellence.

The United Heart & Vascular Clinic, part of Allina Health, is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist with:

• Excellent clinical skills and true interest in clinical care
• Work focused on outpatient clinic, hospital rounding, outreach clinic with opportunity to participate in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology or Heart Failure Programs
• Provides direct patient care for clinical patients for designated specialty
• Functions appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills, both their own and those of other provider and staff
• Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows

• Additional areas of expertise within the large programs: TAVR, VT and AF ablation, CRT Optimization, Venous ablation, Cardiac CT and MR
• Opportunity to participate in clinical Cardiology Research

Education

• This position requires a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine

Qualification/Skills

Experience

• Must have demonstrated experience in designated specialty area

Licensure/Certifications

• Must have current, unrestricted Minnesota State Medical Licensure
• Must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within designated specialty

Work Schedule

• 1 in 15 week-night call; 1 in 8 week-end call
