California-Nutrition Coach

The Nutrition Coach provides customized meal solutions to My Fit Foods consumers. The Nutrition Coach is the educational resource inside the store for both employees and clients and is responsible for the
guidance and success of clients on the 21 Day Challenge. With education based grassroots marketing, the Nutrition Coach is responsible for local outreach that generates new customers to the store.

The Nutrition Coach is also the main point of contact for the Corporate Nutritionist, Wellness and Education teams and Director of Corporate Wellness to disseminate education and information to other Nutrition Coaches in his/her area. The person in this position must maintain a high amount of communication with the corporate office and organize meeting and conference calls to keep field team members informed and current on all information regarding the Nutrition Coach position. As needed, the Nutrition Coach will also assist with corporate on-sites, mentoring or new NC/ANC candidates and be utilized for local media opportunities.

Qualifications

1. Customer Focus

  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, establishes effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  • Responsible for the creation of meal plans that are specifically designed with client goals in mind.
  • Serves as the client’s point of contact for the entire length of their program through proper coaching model.
  • Follow up with clients to maximize service, restart and referral opportunities. Ensure specified targets for new clients, restarts and deposit commitments are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

2. Time Management

  • Uses time effectively and efficiently, concentrates efforts on the more important priorities.
  • Manage the store consultation calendar and productivity of each Front of House team member to support the 21 Day Challenge and additional company promotions.
  • Schedule training and role-plays with all FOH service associate team members.
  • Adept at personal time management skills to facilitate needed attention to all aspects of position; client follow-up, new client acquisition, marketing/outreach, staff education meetings, and FOH hours.

3. Presentation Skills

  • Is effective in a variety of formal presentation settings : one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and bosses.
  • Initiate and coordinate lunch and learn and local community events. Track return on each event to evaluate effectiveness. Work with store and other managers when necessary to execute event staffing, rates, etc.
  • Coordinate internal store promotions in collaboration with Store Management team and Area Director. Ensure that all in-store promotions have the necessary approvals, including signage. Support training for all new products and promotions with General Manager.
  • Initiate and facilitate public speaking events such as Lunch and Learns and Tastings.

4. Functional/Technical Skills

  • Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Ensure all education and guidelines set-forth are followed to ensure a consistent My Fit Foods brand experience company-wide
  • Attend and participate in all nutrition coach meetings and training classes.
  • Order monthly marketing collateral and promo items when being utilized for marketing plans with General Manager.
  • Ability to successfully navigate computer software, including but not limited to ; MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google calendars, Gmail, company trackers and spreadsheets.

5. Approachability

  • Is easy to approach and talk to ; spends the extra effort to put others at ease, sensitive and patient with others, builds
  • rapport well, is a good listener.
  • Maintain high communication to clients and store manager to ensure a high level partnership within the store.
  • Observe minimum of one hour per day to assist FOH operations, assist new customers, obtain a walk-in consultation client.
  • Ability to interact with My Fit Foods team members to encourage learning. Welcoming questions and/or concerns voiced by team members or clients in a way that is comfortable and reassuring.

6. Motivating Others

  • Creates a climate in which people want to do their best, can motivate many kinds of direct reports and team members.
  • Collect and share success story testimonials and results with store and corporate team.
  • Support Corporate Wellness Programs, as directed from the Corporate Wellness Team. Surface qualified leads to the Corporate Wellness Department for follow up.
  • Stay current on industry trends and share valuable information with team at monthly team meetings.
  • Share all new research data sent to store to assist with FOH knowledge and development.
  • Support General Manager and Store Manager with tracking performance metrics and identifying areas of opportunity inside the store.
