CAD Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer in the Worldwide Tapeout Group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for developing custom software applications to facilitate the design and manufacture of photo masks for use in semiconductor fabrication, primarily using web-based technologies, with an emphasis on known best practices and design patterns for elegant and reusable software. You will also be responsible for helping support existing applications. You will work with other Micron engineers and managers from groups including Production Engineering, Design, Reticle Manufacturing and Process Integration.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Design and Develop Software, Scripts, Web Page Interactive Reporting and Tools Utilized by Internal Groups, utilizing the following skills:

  • Proficient in Javascript, with JQuery experience preferred.
  • Understanding of HTML5 concepts and usage. Experience with data visualization packages recommended (D3.js, Highcharts, etc).
  • Proficient in a scripting language, Perl preferred.
  • Experience with Java Spring or Spring.boot development in a production environment considered desirable.
  • Fluency in SQL and familiarity with one or more open source RDMS systems.
  • Experience with Linux command line tools and environment.

Provide Ongoing Support of Software Tools Utilized by Internal Groups

  • Maintain and support current pages and tools for the world wide Tapeout flow.
  • Address customer requests for enhancements and support.
  • Create and maintain Developer and User documentation.

Continually Acquire New Skills (Software/Hardware) and Knowledge

  • Keep abreast of new technology, development tools, and development techniques.
  • Analyze new tools for advantages over current tool sets.

  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred but not required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related course of study
