Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

This is your chance to step into a newly created position that will be a liaison between functional and technical teams within iovation with the purpose of re-engineering processes and platforms to be more efficient and functional. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership and technical experience in implementation and support of advanced business and technology solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Transform business needs into technical specifications
• Use judgment and leadership in the application of new technologies and processes and provide recommendations based on business needs
• Work on complex problems and provide solutions which are cost-effective, innovative and appropriate for the business
• Assess the operational and technical impact of system and process changes to primary and interfacing systems to maximize business results and avoid risk
• Anticipate current and future issues that impact satisfaction
• Communicate complex technical problems and solutions to a variety of audiences
• Work closely with cross-functional development teams on project delivery
• Function as a project or program leader to manage projects across geographically dispersed organizations
• Create documentation for solutions, designs, specifications, and compliance and training materials
• Train and/or assist in training users on new systems and new system processes
• Support the business and users to reproduce, document and triage system bugs
• Act as a liaison between the business and any vendors supporting business applications
• Work with vendors and the business to troubleshoot and resolve issues and to implement product enhancements and upgrades
• Demonstrate functional, IT and project management expertise with each project assigned
• Plan and establish resource levels for work efforts
• Recognize when outside assistance and guidance are required to effectively achieve goals
• Provide direction or management support of assigned employees and/or contract staff as assigned

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology or equivalent experience in a related field
• Demonstrated ability to develop appropriate business solutions and to deliver on key highly complex programs
• Demonstrated experience with ERP/CRM systems with an emphasis on cross functional project management
• Demonstrated experience with systems lifecycle from feasibility through design to implementation
• Demonstrated knowledge of IT development best practices and system development lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience with the installation of packaged software, including packaged software release enhancements and upgrades
• Familiarity with Change Control, system migration and internal controls practices; ability to advocate for and enforce these practices with business and IT partners
• Ability to challenge conventional thinking for the betterment of the company
• Adept at building and managing relationships that span multiple geographies
• Ability to interact with and advise others in a positive, consulting manner
• Ability to accurately assess situations, exercise good judgment, make decisions and resolve problems
• Ability to work independently and with teams of individuals with varied backgrounds and technical understanding
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with audiences of all levels
• Proven organizational skills, analytical skills and research skills

Preferred Experience/Knowledge/Experience

• Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite

Physical Requirements

Frequent sitting, hearing and talking; intermittent standing and walking; intermittent bending and twisting of the upper body (in the event of traveling/working from remote locations). Close detail work requiring visual acuity. Job includes some travel, and working some evenings/weekends (as required fulfill any community activities)
