Business Systems Analyst

As a business systems analyst, you will provide excellent business and system analysis with regard to providing automated solutions to clients’ needs. In this positions you will be responsible for: interviewing internal and external customers to gather facts and requirements; identifying issues and communicating options and resolutions to others; writing scope and requirements, test plans, executive summaries, project plans and specifications documents.
  • Producing complete system specifications that enable the engineering and development staff to build systems with minimal re-work
  • Demonstrating an ability to learn and understand new subject matter quickly
  • Maintaining business process maps across multiple products in the Core Cash Management domain areas
  • Gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis and task and workflow analysis
  • Documenting use cases, functional and non-functional requirements for the project
  • Participate/leading review and final sign-off of functional/non-functional requirements for the project
  • Acting as the liaison between the engineers, developers, business units, various technology teams and support teams constantly negotiating scope and resolving conflicting priorities
  • Collaborating with engineers and developers to document user guides, support manuals etc. for the technology. Turning requirements into meaningful stories that the scrum team(s) can deliver against.
  • Helping coordinate enrollment of business users into the system
  • Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation
  • Work with developers, user experience designers, subject matter experts, legal and compliance teams to obtain a well-rounded understanding of what is being asked for and our ability to deliver it within the constraints of our banking environment.
  • Assesses potential impacts and changes to our core UIs, middleware services and frameworks.
  • Maintain a living evergreen repository so that we always have an understanding of our current state.
  • Juggle multiple projects and initiatives at any given time, all with aggressive delivery expectations. Aiding in the creation of project charters, analysis for value capture, and document business needs for specific projects to be chartered Gathering and critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional working experience in applicable technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team.
  • Familiarity with large-scale application development with hands-on system analysis and design experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill, for both technical and non-technical areas, with the exposure of the cross-culture environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good team player but also able to execute and solve complex problems independently.
  • Solid knowledge of IT Risk and Control, especially in the application security domain highly preferable.
  • Strong understanding of the global banking business and operations preferred.
