Business Process Analyst & Project Manager

Position Summary: The candidate is responsible for increasing Training department’s efficiency, compliance and financial viability. He or she will assist Head of Training in defining and deploying training processes and methods, including identifying and monitoring KPIs, performing internal audits to ensure compliance with Airbus Helicopters Training policies, tracking financial performance against OP, and conducting detailed analysis, as needed, across full spectrum of training business competitive pricing benchmarking, cost base analysis, organizational optimization initiatives, new tools analysis, cross-departmental efforts such as price to win and bid support analysis. Assists the Head of Training by providing actionable analysis to inform decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deploy Continuous Improvement Roadmap: (30%)

  • Understand internal audit findings and develop comprehensive roadmap (actions, schedule) to ensure mitigation and compliance
  • Deploy Quality Management System (QMS), in concert with AH Inc. Quality team, and perform periodic audits to identify process discrepancies
  • Train team members to be compliant across a wide spectrum of business processes: AH Training Services process and franchising manuals, financial compliance, reporting requirements, pricing and quoting process
  • Create new processes and best practices for more efficient and transparent interaction with Flight Ops, Sales, Finance, Procurement and other Support & Services disciplines (ex: tech reps)
  • Ensure compliance and performance against current and future contracts and training credit accounts
  • Improve process of accounting for training credits, building CSAs (customer offers), and accurate costing

2. Develop, deploy and monitor key business indicators: (30%)

  • Develop new and enhance existing key performance indicators across full spectrum of training business: customer satisfaction, financial indicators, asset utilization, etc
  • Deploy KPIs and implement visual dashboard for reporting to Head of Training, Head of Support and Services, and AHI Executive Committee; this dashboard will also be used during weekly and monthly team meetings to communicate performance
  • Responsible for budget oversight of Training department, including OPEX/CAPEX processes
  • Assist Head of Training to create a comprehensive course catalog tool, including content and pricing

3. Strategic Training Projects: (30%)

  • Act as a lead and drumbeat strategic training projects, conducting actionable research & analysis to inform:
  • Business cases/investments/go no-go decisions
  • Strategic positioning of AHI Training in the North America market
  • Assist in cross-regional synergies
  • Coordinate with marketing department for market analysis (competitor’s offer, customer’s needs…)
  • Price to win analysis and other complex bid support
  • Operational and organizational topics
  • Cross-departmental collaboration such as on Regional Training Center

4. Tools & Methods: (10%)

In addition to tools and methods described above, the Senior Manager for Business Optimization will also coordinate with different technical stakeholders across the company to explore new technologies and tools to enhance training offer and customer experience

  • This can include business tools to enhance the Learning Management System (i.e. scheduling optimization software) or other related
  • Coordinate with Senior Manager, Training Sciences to assist in deploying new technology such as digital flight manuals for greater customer satisfaction

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, economics or related disciplines MBA or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:
3-5 years of Consulting, Financial Management and other related general management experience desired Project management in fields of aviation and defense a must; Customer-facing roles a plus, particularly in training, market development or sales Experience working in another division and/or international location of the Airbus portfolio of companies a plus Experience formulating and implementing business strategy, particularly in areas of market development, organizational optimization and other areas with high impact on the end customer

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Highly analytical and comfortable with financial analysis at the corporate and business line level Possesses excellent verbal & written communications skills Experience presenting to high level audiences in PowerPoint Experience conducting numeric and financial modeling in Excel, Access, SQL or other Detail oriented approach and ability to work under constrained deadlines Ability to prioritize and tailor analysis depending on need Able to plan and organize work to achieve goals; achieves targeted results with minimal supervision; is accountable for own actions. Generates new ideas personally & encourage team to do the same; stays up-to-date on technology & approaches to work; provides creative solutions & input when faced with challenges Builds effective relationships with internal & external customers; ability to work independently and coordinate work with others; resolves conflicts in a professional manner Ability to communicate clearly with customers, team members and company executives on progress and resolve conflicts Solutions oriented mentality with exceptional problem solving skills Innovative mindset and eagerness to embrace emerging customer requirements, technology trends and regulatory policy to continuously improve AHI Training

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Excellent written and verbal English Fluency in French, German, Spanish or other languages a plus

Technical Systems Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products Strong data analysis and problem solving skills Proficiency in SAP, BW, BPC or other financial management tools a plus

Travel Required:
Up to 20% Domestic and International

Eligibility:
Ability to work in the US

Decision Making, Complexity:
Highly complex problem solving and self-initiative required to juggle business priorities and customer satisfaction Provide conflict resolutions Must be fully autonomous in daily activities

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: must be onsite at least 80% of the time to work with training team and customers
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, and reports.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on flight line and helipads including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to use personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors .
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, marketing materials, electronic equipment, training aids up to 30lbs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, marketing materials, electronic equipment, training aids up to 30lbs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving or in a/c storage compartments.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices and for long periods during trade shows.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Climbing: occasionally able to climb stairs as needed to review training aids; able to climb on and off of an aircraft.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces
