Business Intelligence Developer Contractor

This position will be creating medium- to high-complexity reports, leveraging the latest QlikView reporting platform and tools. This position will be part of a team within the Sales and Marketing Sales Operations group developing dashboards supporting key business processes for Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and code medium- to high-complexity reports, in QlikView
Collaborate with others to identify reporting requirements, design features and specifications
Convert user stories to report designs
Debug reporting problems and issues in Qlikview
Provide support to ensure optimal performance of reports and dashboards
Support some facets of data modeling and data management activities
Create all types of reports and insightful data displays
Identify and escalate issues that put work at risk of delay and propose suitable alternatives

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

1-2 years’ experience working with QlikView BI reporting platform
Design and data visualization experience
UI/UX expertise for web based application is a plus
A passion for data visualization and a meticulous attention to detail
Hands-on experience with relational databases
Demonstrated skill in designing and developing complex reports involving drill down and master detail queries
Strong knowledge of data models and data mining techniques, database design and writing stored procedures
Adept at learning new technologies and business functions
Demonstrated experience working with Qlik Set Analysis and Aggregation
Other experience that would be nice to have:
Experience building ETL Packages with SQL Server Integration Services
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services
Experience with SQL coding and query writing
