Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer supports the needs of the business through design and development of actionable analytics, development and maintenance of the BI platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure QlikView/Qlik Sense applications
  • Interpret business needs of stakeholders and build reporting requirements
  • Document and test final product and conduct data quality checks on a regular basis
  • Work in partnership with the BI team and other stakeholders to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information
  • Ensure best practices are followed when producing applications and developing documentation

  • Extensive knowledge of BI analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with dashboard solutions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Adhere to standards and best practices
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Solid business facing skills to gather and document requirements
  • Ability to translate requirements into developed code
  • Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes
  • Knowledge of formal database architecture and design
  • Solves complex problems with creative solutions
  • Places emphasis on client satisfaction and customer experience
  • Enthusiastic about learning large and complex systems, and new tools
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions

    • Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Qlik Sense/Qlikview Dashboard development
  • Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience in development of web-based UI solutions involving technologies such as Angularjs, and Javascript API
  • Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
