Business Development – Administrative Associate

Description

Responsible for providing administrative support to the sales team for new or changing customer accounts.

Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal teams to support the sales function by coordinating the Work Order (WO) process and providing WO maintenance.

Work with new and existing customers to review their protocol or needs in the areas of:

Kits and ancillary supplies;

Packaging related regulatory concerns;

Distribution needs;

Online ordering system needs; and

Printing needs.

Follow up on all special and new product quotations.

Work with suppliers on product quotations as needed.

Act as a liaison between internal teams to troubleshoot customer needs.

Assist in coordinating any necessary agreements with new customers.

Support new sales leads by attending trade shows and conferences, as well as by calling/e-mailing new potential customers identified on call lists or trade show lead lists.

Experience & Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.)

Knowledge of web-based ordering systems preferred

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Detail-oriented

Qualifications:
High school completion or equivalent (GED)

Previous sales support or customer service experience preferred

Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
