OVERVIEW

Job Purpose

The Business Developer is responsible for developing and closing business for Community Development Districts and community association sectors throughout designated Florida region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance

Assists in project start-up to ensure all key elements of the proposal are met. Performs follow-up with clients to ensure the operating contract and performance is satisfactory.

Sales

Seeks out and researches prospective projects through established sales channels and recommends the development of alternate sales channels. Drives the process for major project pursuit developing sales strategies with inside sales and representative network.

Marketing

Works with marketing and promotion, including advertising, review media, specials sales, and subsidiary rights.

Purchasing

Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key purchasing influences.

Management

Keeps company management informed of business conditions which may affect assigned product or markets. Tracks status of projects including reporting spreadsheets.

Leadership

Provides external leadership for the assigned product or market by actively participating in trade shows, equipment seminars and training activities.

Engineering

Develops plans to increase market share of assigned product or market through communications with board members, vendors, engineers, attorneys and regional trade associations.

Communication

Assists in the development of written materials, proposals and price quotations.

Analysis

Assists in evaluation of lost projects to increase contract wins.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree

Bachelor’s degree and/ or 5-10 years related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Business Development

Strong business development and sales experience.

Communication

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency

Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Physical Demands

Requires overnight travel approximately 30% of the time.

Professional Licensures and Certifications
