Business Analyst Tampa, Florida

The Business Analyst is responsible for the ongoing analysis of the performance of one of the three commercial Regions of SFIC’s business.

This includes planning, forecasting, reporting and analyzing the financial performance of the Region. As this capability is new at SFIC, the Business Analyst will play a key role in shaping the capability and creating our standards.

The Business Analyst collaborates with peer Business Analysts in other Regions to develop SFIC’s Analytics capability and practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Forecasting

  • Develops commercial plans and forecasts for the Region
  • Identifies metrics that will provide valuable insight into business performance
  • Conducts ongoing reporting and analysis of commercial performance; creates reports, visualizations and dashboards to inform management
  • Identifies, utilizes and integrates relevant external data sources
  • On an ongoing basis, identifies relevant data patterns and discrepancies and identifies opportunities to improve business performance
  • Contributes to the standardization of SFIC’s commercial analytics, reports and market scorecards
  • Creates depletions, shipments and customer reports
  • Contributes to special projects as relevant

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborates with HQ Finance
  • Communicates insights with field salesforce

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the spirits, beverage or consumer products industry
  • Well-developed financial analytical and database management skills to develop and implement sales analytical databases, reports and analytics
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with various functions across the organization
  • Must possess professional maturity and be comfortable with interacting with higher levels of management to communicate facts in a simple and understandable manner including presenting their opinions and ideas
  • Background working with industry data sources and tools (e.g., NABCA, Nielsen, DISCUS)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have excellent skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • College Degree required, major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative methods preferred
  • Some travel required
