Business Analyst Intern

SUMMARY: The Business Analyst Intern is a paid internship located in our Corporate Office in Irving, Texas. The internship is for one semester, with the opportunity to extend to an additional semester.

You will analyze sales, spending, and project trends in all areas of the business. You will work closely with the executive leadership, operations, procurement, sales, and human resources to help identify areas for performance improvement and help drive implementation of recommended changes.

You will work with Senior Leadership and will report directly to the President of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Use data to understand business patterns and trends
• Conduct gap analysis on current and future operations
• Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
• Communicate findings to the company through standard reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Prepare and analyze financial results (Monthly, Quarterly, Year-to-date) versus budget/prior year
• Special Projects and Other Duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• In your junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Finance, Accounting, Statics, or Mathematics with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Intermediate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth
• Demonstrated outstanding academic performance and an aptitude for analytics
• Must be results-driven, work independently and have a positive "make it work" attitude
• Resourceful, intellectually curious, empathetic, poised, and mature
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively- both verbally and in writing in English.
