Business Analyst, EDI

Acacia Network offers an array of community-based services, including Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Housing, and Education.

We are currently seeking an Business Analyst , EDI to join our billing department.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for in-depth knowledge of various billing systems. This position will conduct regular day-to-day communication, review software, and demonstrate a deeper understanding of business operations. This position routinely performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of billing systems. This position is expected to use critical thinking skills in providing systems solutions to meet revenue cycle needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in project implementations, systems upgrades and quality assurance processes.
  • Actively participates in project activities.
  • Analyzes data requirements for system upgrades. Recommends corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitates communications between Information Technology, systems vendors and Revenue Cycle departments.
  • Medical billing and accounts receivable knowledge
  • Ability to write simple SQL queries, generate one off and repetitive report.
  • Knowledge of 837 & 835 billing files
  • Run recurring billing reports and data analysis

Two-Four (2-4) years of experience in a healthcare analytic role demonstrating the ability to provide value-add analysis to compiled data. Understanding of health care terminology and knowledgeable/experienced with some or all of the following: provider data, claims data

Three (3+) years of experience in a healthcare environment.

Intermediate MS Excel and Microsoft SQL Server coding skills essential.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics or Health care-related field, or equivalent experience.

Strong aptitude for quickly troubleshooting and identifying the cause of questionable results within extracts and reports.

Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills.
