The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to work closely with the team of product managers and the product engineering group. You will be involved in analysis of user stories and translating them into meaningful technical specifications. You will also be tasked with testing of the business requirements and recording the test cases in a readable manner. The ideal candidate would be able to think logically and process information with a high level of detail, accuracy and efficiency while communicating the information proficiently across different organizational levels. Although the position requires in-depth knowledge of EDI processes and requirements around Worker’s Compensation Claims, a thorough on the job training will be provided to fulfill this need. Your Day-to-Day:

• Works with Product Management, Product Engineering and the Software Development teams to assure detailed use cases and business requirements are created.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team of developers, architects, and QA to develop and break down requirements into manageable user stories.
• Perform quality control of the products to ensure user acceptance and business testing requirements are satisfied.
• Communicate testing progress and results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
• Perform data analysis and research. Must possess ability to think logically and process information with a high level of detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Attend client meetings to assist product management team in a technical capacity.
• Acquire and/or demonstrate domain knowledge in the Worker’s Compensation insurance industry.

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree – Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and/or Development preferred.
• Agile Development Experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries is a plus.
• Experience/knowledge of exploratory data analysis techniques.
