Business Analyst, Claims

We currently have a great opportunity for a Business Analyst, Claims!
The Warranty Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst within our North American Claims division. This position will coordinate TCF reporting from North American and Latin American operations. The primarily object of this position will be to report on claim activity and analyze results in multi-faceted formats in order for the business unit to: determine effectiveness of operations; Identify operational opportunities; determine claim cost control effectiveness; and identify continued cost control opportunities. In addition, the Business Analyst will report on claim center metrics in order to: provide management tools to compare metrics among staff members; provide individual productivity information for management; and determine and project anticipated staffing levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility for the production and distribution of reports and data sets for all lines of business.
• Monthly/Quarterly experience reports for specific clients.
• Create and analyze monthly/quarterly MI reports.
• Create ad hoc reports as needed.
• Ability to create reports on multiple systems and with multiple applications.
• Recommend and implement systems enhancements for reporting purposes.
• Liaise with Underwriters and Financial Analysts to manage reporting expectations.
• Train and develop other team members.
• Ensure TCF functions are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of TCF reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.
• Ability to create reports from various systems.
• Understand the importance of prioritization.
• Ability to mentor Business Analysts in creation and interpretation of operational reports.
• Ability to interpret system reports and make informed recommendations.
• Ability to influence and work with a team.
• Ability to cope under pressure and work with deadlines.
• Familiarity with project management.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or SOQL.
• Proficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Understanding of the insurance industry preferred.
