Business Analyst

Position Summary: Planning, forecasting, and reporting for multiple lines in a seasonally driven product category based on retail performance and annual line reviews.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement project and analysis of key scorecard metrics, monitoring store & sales performance, and interpreting data for seasonal trends and inventory adjustments.
  • Cross functional interface with operations, supply chain, sales/marketing, and inventory control.
  • Process Development: Process flow and change management, promotional and seasonal planning, as well as replenishment and demand planning
  • Evaluation of trends, rationale, and corrective actions to reverse inventory gaps.
  • Provide reports to Customers including daily shortages, semi-weekly in-stock updates and monthly performance data
  • Item set up, forecasting, and collaboration with National Retail Accounts on building business plans

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business
  • 3 years’ experience in replenishment and sales analysis.
  • Experience with CPFR is a plus.
  • Experience in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with Retail Link is a must.

  • Strong data analysis and organizational skills
  • Ability to be a problem solver and respond to Ad-Hoc needs
  • Strong customer service drive and focus with a professional demeanor and business acumen
  • Interest in outdoor sports, fishing, hunting, or related activities would be a plus

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Computer Skills: K nowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with Movex systems preferred but not required.
