Business Analyst

WebPT is seeking an innovative, motivated, butt-kicking Business Analyst to join our Product team. Here at WebPT, you will be responsible for the day to day product validation, development preparation, build and launch phases of the development process. You will support our team of Product Managers in developing products and product features from concept to EOL. The Business Analyst understands both the engineering and business side of each product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs through regular sprint and program reviews.

WebPT provides an innovative, value-based end-to-end SAAS business solution designed specifically for rehab therapy professionals. WebPT is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Business Analyst to help the development of the Billing SAAS solution complementing the company’s leading rehab industry’s EMR product.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, key stakeholders, development and product marketing to translate vision, features, and business requirements into documented solutions, epics and user stories
  • Work with product managers and technical leads to determine scope, timing and priorities for multiple agile development cycles
  • Build, maintain, prioritize and own the development backlog
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing and Release Management in the development of release plans
  • Support development processes, including story/feature acceptance, data analysis, and test data creation
  • Facilitate solution definition and design with UX and Engineering
  • Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Assist member-facing teams with analysis and explanation of application functionality
  • Assist with investigation of client-reported and internally identified system issues to determine causes and propose solutions
  • Work with key stakeholders across the company to ensure successful product releases
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and compliance adhering to all HIPAA regulations

Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience documenting user stories and building acceptance criteria
  • Proficiency with Agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the healthcare market specifically the Billing and RCM practices
  • Team Player with empathy for users, clients, team members, stakeholders, etc.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • At least three years of software business analyst or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and implementation experience of Agile methodologies for product development
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management and healthcare billing practices

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare industry
  • Understanding of EDI – 837p, 835, 270, 271
  • CSPO certification preferred
  • Understanding of agile management tools (VersionOne, Jira)
