Business Analyst

Overview:

Beyondsoft is seeking a Business Analyst for a long-term contract role with one of our leading clients in Redmond, WA.

We are looking for someone to assist the team with general financial management and help improve efficiencies across individual groups. In this role, you will have exposure to all the products and team members within the organization. We are especially looking for candidates with applicable experience who are passionate, team-orientated, and positive.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain operational processes of existing and new reports (e.g. Opex and COGS tracking against budget)

Milestone payment processing and accruals/journal entries

Revenue/opex data collection for various monthly reports including MBR, QBR and Studio Reporting

Partner with title EPs to ensure accurate staffing reporting

Month end variance analysis and reporting

Troubleshoot & unblock processing issues as they occur during OPEX reclassifications

Quarterly forecast template updates

Royalty payment reconciliation

Support Business Management with ad hoc requests (such as title P&L support).

Qualifications:

1-3 years prior experience in an Operations or Finance related role

General understanding of financial management; tracking, reporting, accountability, etc.

Proficiency in Excel functions (e.g., creating formulas, pivot tables)

Self-starter with the ability to handle ambiguity and bring clarity and vision to such situations

Strong ability to articulate vision, requirements & benefits, providing a solid rationale to multiple business and technical partners

Strong communication skills, excellent collaboration and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and organizations in a global work environment

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment among a diversity of disciplines

Ability to lead by example through personally delivering high-impact work results

Desire to pursue a career in the games industry
