POSITION SUMMARY:
Currently, the ITS – Administration department is seeking a self-motivated, versatile Budget Analyst II. This finance/budget professional will have experience and skills in variance analysis, internal financial reporting, and cost distribution methodologies. This individual should have demonstrated an ability to work well within a team, partner with other areas, and have an excellent Customer centric attitude.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform monthly variance analysis
  • Complete monthly financial dashboards
  • Lead monthly forecast meetings
  • Update budget system with known changes to forecast on a regular basis
  • Interact with central Financial Management as it relates to budget issues
  • Update Customers regularly on the status of requests and works to resolve roadblocks
  • Serve as the single point of contact to designated senior department leaders
  • Anticipate questions and provide analysis and consulting to various situations
  • Various routine compliance items
  • Serve as a point of contact for cost distribution methodologies
  • Regularly perform ad hoc and special projects related to expense or budget as needed or requested by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft products
  • Ability to work as part of a team within a department and across an organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with various audiences
  • Take responsibility in contributing to the success of an organization
  • Customer focused

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Three to five years of experience in a Finance role
  • General knowledge and experience using budget and financial tools (such as Essbase, Lawson, etc.)
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirement

WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the customers as required by project schedules or management
