BUDGET ANALYST

This is a great chance to work for Wayne County with some excellent personalities in our Management and Budget Department. Our Budget Analyst is responsible for financial forecasts, operational and performance based budgeting and other valuations and analyses. This position will implement budget strategies and processes to evaluate Wayne County’s budget operations and build financial forecasts. The Budget Analyst will be responsible for the fiscal year adopted budget and financial programs for assigned Executive Departments.

We are looking for qualified candidates that have:
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related degree as determined acceptable by the Department of Personnel/Human Resources; AND At least three (3) years of financial analysis, budgeting and fiscal planning experience, of which one (1) year must be in the preparation and development of government budgets.
