BSA/AML Risk Specialist

We have an exciting opening for a fulltime BSA/AML Risk Specialist position at our Maple Grove location!The BSA/AML Risk Specialist is responsible for assisting with all BSA/AML investigative and transaction monitoring functions of the BSA, including the entire life cycle of detection of unusual activity, ongoing monitoring and preparation of investigative summaries and accurate SAR narratives for submission to FinCEN. This position ensures investigative and due diligence functions are performed accurately, timely and in accordance with regulatory and agency requirements and bank policy. He/she will be responsible for assisting leadership and the BSA compliance team to help ensure the appropriate policies, risk management and controls to comply with Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”), Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), and USA PATRIOT Act regulations.

The BSA/AML Risk Specialist will perform independent review and analysis on all new and existing commercial account applications to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, the US Patriot Act, OFAC, and Identity Theft Prevention programs. The individual is responsible for performing various electronic payment functions. The BSA/AML Risk Specialist will provide operational and administrative support for the BSA/OFAC Officer.

The right candidate will hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, Finance, Banking or related fieldand have 4-5 years of experience within front and backroom banking operations, technology, and finance environment. This individual must have ademonstrated knowledge and experience with on-line banking tools, ability to solve client issues related to both product features and technology used by the consumer. He/she must be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks at one time, assertive, self-confident, self-motivated and have the ability to work independently with little direction and supervision. The right candidate will have a high level and detailed knowledge of legal and regulatory banking compliance in order to properly complete the duties of position; bank examination experience a plus.
