Broadcast Media Specialist/Producer

We are seeking a multi-talented, well-rounded Broadcast Media Specialist/Producer to create engaging and informative content to help us tell our story to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in live and post production, as well as experience in encoding and media distribution platforms. This position is ideal for a well-organized, deadline driven, detail-orientated self-starter with strong production and communication skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Studio Operations : Serve as the primary operator for our in-house media studio producing both live and on-demand content.

Video Editing

: Expertly and quickly edit video content for high-quality, high-value content.
Animation : Create basic animations and digital graphics for live and post productions.
Field Production : Act as the lead videographer on remote shoots and live broadcasts.
Encoding and Distribution : Prepare, transcode, and transfer content for our digital asset management system, OVP, and our production and distribution partners.
Project Management : Coordinate with all stakeholders, production staff, and vendors to lead projects throughout the production process.
Digital Asset Management : Administer and maintain our DAM/CMS and implement best practices for managing our media assets.
Skills and Experience
Exceptional video production skills with strong technical and operational knowledge of production equipment including cameras, lighting and sound/audio.
Scriptwriting and storyboarding capabilities
Experience as a director and/or technical director in a live broadcast environment.
Television, agency and/or corporate media production experienced (3+ years) preferred.
Exhibited knowledge of current industry transcoding technologies
Ability to collaborate with a fast-paced team
Ability to multitask, and perform and deliver against tight deadlines
Ability to match project needs with appropriate levels of time investment
Strong problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking abilities
Ability to create engaging photographic, graphic, animated and illustrative digital content for social media publishing is a plus
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Apple Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Adobe Premiere
Advanced Photoshop skills
Photography skills a definite plus
Soft Skills
Comfortable working with C-suite level executives and communications/marketing teams
Ability to work and travel as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends
Education
Bachelor’s degree required with preference in multi-media and/or video production
