BME is the leading supplier of explosives to the South African open pit mining and quarrying industry. It offers ground breaking solutions to all its customers and has operations in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mali, Swaziland, Mauritania, Malawi, Senegal and Zambia. It also trades into Mozambique and the DRC.

BME continues to commercialise the new generation of electronic detonator as well as developing alternative products for the industry.

To ensure that all the prescribed duties are carried out in preparation for a blast, performing the blast and concluding post-blasting tasks, in line with all statutory, legal and BME SHERQ requirements.

Ensure that all excess accessories after the blast are recorded and to be destroyed according to the relevant mine standards at a place designated by the mine manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 ( Maths)

Blasting Ticket

Magazine Master certificate ( desirable)

Ms office ( Word, excel, E-mail)

Previous experience in a mining / explosives environment

2 years Blasting / assistance experience
