Billing Representative/ Data Entry

Position Description:

Primary Responsibilities:
Data entry of billing mnemonics and all required billing information that appears on imaged requisitions Must place appropriate holds on accessions and add appropriate problem type Must verify all insurances on payor websites Must make phone calls to obtain missing information Must remove holds when appropriate and process cancellations Must perform weekly/monthly Daily Accession Report (DAR) scrubs Maintain Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet quality and production standards Must be detail-oriented with independent work habits

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 6+ months experience in data entry, banking, A/R, Billing, Customer Service, insurance OR healthcare Ability to work within multiple applications with dual computer screens Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel Ability to work overtime as needed and work Monday – Friday, 8 hours a day between the hours of 9:00 am – 6:30 pm EST Ability to use a keyboard for Data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree (or higher)

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills Demonstrated problem solving skills Good organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer

Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity
