Position Description

This position is responsible for answering patient calls and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary.

May assist AR team with follow up of outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self pay and/or including resolution of denials. Handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability. May work EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports. Assist with research and resolution of accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger and Government Payor report as directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

1+ years of work experience; Healthcare and/or Insurance billing or processing and customer service preferred; 7,000 alpha numeric skills.

Critical Skills

Must be bi-lingual in Spanish

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
