We’re looking for a BI developer to join the team in downtown Atlanta. This role requires a candidate with specialized knowledge of BI development methodologies, toolsets, and approaches for end-user analytics. As part of the team, you will help develop mission critical business processes in sales, manufacturing, accounting, and finance. The candidate will work as part of an Agile Development Team within a face paced environment focused on delivery of value added business projects and enhancements. Minimal travel is expected, ranging from 5%-10% depending on project needs.

The BI Developer will be responsible for the design, construction, optimization, and operational support of extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and reporting solutions including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SharePoint and Tableau. This position translates business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs and delivers ETL and reporting solutions according to the specifications.

• Responsible for extracting data from multiple operational and financial sources and assemble them into meaningful business intelligence

• Perform all SDLC phases related to extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server stored procedures within MS SQL Server environment.

• Develop and maintain complex reports, multidimensional cubes and flexible dashboards

• Create and maintain data flow diagrams for existing and future ETL processes

• Create and maintain detailed source-to-target ETL mapping specifications

• Assist in the definition of the database requirements; analyze existing models and reports looking for opportunities to improve their efficiency; and resolve technical problems

• Evaluate alternate solutions and design processes and systems which includes user impact considerations, cost and benefit analysis, and processing specifications.

Summary of Position

The Business Intelligence Developer will primarily manage the design and development of business intelligence capabilities for our customers. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth analyses on marketing platform implementations will drive business decisions and execution, solve business needs, and mitigate risk, as well as assess campaign/program effectiveness, measuring return on investment and identifying trends and opportunities. Responsibilities will also include querying large datasets for statistical modeling purposes and ad hoc marketing analyses. Other responsibilities include standardized and ad-hoc reporting for a combination of CRM/Marketing Operations, Product/Brand, Channels and other related stakeholder groups.

This position will work closely with business and technology partners requesting data warehouse and/or analytics support, to interpret requirements, and assess impact on current and planned business and data models. In addition, the role will work closely with BI management and Engagement Leads to help develop and implement analytics and reporting initiatives.

Major ResponsibilitiesQuantitative Data Analysis

  • Conduct requirements analysis around metrics, key performance management, reporting and information analysis
  • Analyze data, processes, organization and supporting applications.

  • Cognos example: Utilize Oracle database and Cognos (Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, and Metric Studio) to accurately build and publish reports. * Create and execute test plans/scripts to test/QA reports and programs.

  • Assists customer stakeholders with reconciling data differences and clarifying report requirements.

  • Perform cause analyses, including but not limited to analyzing drivers of results.
