As part of the U.S. Benefits Plans department, the Benefits Delivery and Customer Service unit is responsible for customer service and administration of all U.S. benefit programs except pension administration (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, 401K), performing administrative oversight of plans to maintain compliance with plan documents and legal requirements while optimizing the customer experience. This unit is responsible for managing vendors and monitoring their performance, implementing regulations and changes based on design decisions made, responding to customer inquiries and escalated cases and reviewing customer facing communications and websites for clarity and accuracy. The Benefits Operation Analyst is an important role within this unit, responsible for assisting with the administrative aspects of these benefits plans, including performing reconciliations, data validation and analysis, and testing related to these plans.

Our U.S. Benefits Department is responsible for healthcare and insurance plans and qualified plan offerings, Wellness programs offered to our employees and their covered spouses/domestic partners, onsite Health & Wellness clinics available at 28 major sites around the country, Employee Assistance Program, and related regulatory and internal reporting required to properly oversee these offerings.

Principal Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in implementing required H&IP system changes for both ongoing as well as Annual Enrollment to account for various changes required due to design enhancements, regulatory requirements and customer improvements; review specs developed as part of changes
  • Assist in determining testing requirements, testing plans and conducting User Acceptance testing as needed across our various external vendors (i.e., H&IP and 401k vendors) as well as internal applications, such as payroll and internally hosted benefits websites
  • Perform and/or validate various reconciliations to make sure trust accounts are properly accounted for, operational vendors are properly accounting for benefits they provide to our participants, and payments made to certain vendors from the trusts are tracked/reported accurately
  • Perform data validation across benefits plans, assisting to resolve data issues and working with payroll and vendors to update indicative and financial data as needed
  • Run data queries in support of the full benefits team, such as creating address files for communications, as well as perform data analysis on queried data
  • Partner with internal Survivor Support Unit and QDRO administration on benefits-related inquiries and/or data requests
  • Assist the H&IP and 401k benefits delivery teams with other administration-related work, as needed
  • Take part in special projects, as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years in corporate benefits or benefits consulting/administration
  • Must have experience working in an analytical or metric driven position
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple deliverables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of benefit plan rules and provisions
  • Solid knowledge of standard desktop applications: MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel, Access
  • Ability to program and run queries
  • Ideal to have large firm experience (25,000 plus employees)
