Back-End Web Developer

SUMMARY:

Digital Marketing is seeking a Back-End Web Developer to help build, maintain and grow its corporate websites. The ideal candidate will have experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems and extensive knowledge .Net and Object Oriented Programming, as well as knowledge of Java, C#, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Development and enhancement of content-managed websites to support large and small Digital Marketing activities such as product launches, campaigns, third-party integrations, online tools, apps, and other web services and solutions

– CMS (Content management system) architecture, development and deployment

– Provide technical strategic consultation and expertise within project Design and Planning phases; lead Execution of server- and client-side deliverables

– Consult with project owners, leads and managers to create, prioritize and size technical requirements

– Serve as a subject-matter expert and be the “go to” person for one or more key disciplines

– Evolve, enforce and evangelize code standards and help maintain a clean, consistent code base

– Work cross-functionally and be an advocate for Web Development; be able to explain complex technical topics to non-technical audiences

– Serve as a mentor within the Web Development team; be approachable and willing to work through problems with team members

– Stay on top of industry trends and new web technologies; be adaptable when we must supplant older conventions with more modern ones

– Be a champion of innovation and open to change. Spotlight enhancements, areas for improvement, operational efficiencies, etc

– Manage time and workload effectively; understand when/how to reach out to peers, managers and other functional leads for guidance or escalations

– Provide timely status on project deliverables

– Write relevant and thorough comments in code and in versions

– Receive and act upon constructive performance feedback

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Candidate must have expertise and understanding in the following areas:

– ASP.NET, C#/.NET or Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JSTL

– JavaScript, AJAX, JavaScript frameworks: jQuery / Prototype / Dojo / AngularJS

– Enterprise Content Management Systems: SDL Tridion, SiteCore, AEM

– RESTful WebServices, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), JSON, XML

– XML, XSLT

– Dreamweaver Templates

– Sass, Compass, Bootstrap

– Agile (scrum) development methodologies, continuous integration

– Source Code management: Git

– Web Analytics: Google, SiteCatalyst

Candidate must be proficient and have familiarity in the following areas::

– HTML5

– CSS3

– Responsive Web Design

– PHP

– Tag Management

– Atlassian Tools

– Mobile Application Development is a plus

Education and Experience

Education & Experience:

– A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required

– Bachelor of Arts, Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Web Development, or other relevant technical discipline

– Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.

– Strong understanding of NetApp Solutions is preferable.
