Position: ODI/ETL Developer

Scope of position: The ETL ODI Developer’s role is to develop and drive the review / approval of data integration specific Solution Definitions through the enterprise architecture review process. To collaborate with the data modeling architects, business intelligence architects, business analysts, and data subject matter experts to define standards and best practices that meet the needs of the business. Also, to deliver in all aspects of Data Integration application design including ETL, data movement, data quality, master data, data replication, and data distribution. The ETL ODI Developer will also collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment of the EDW, ODS and Master Data Management to ensure proper integration of data across the entire enterprise, and work closely with database administration to establish and maintain highly resilient, scalable, reusable, and high performance data integration patterns and architecture. The ETL ODI Developer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of EDW Data Integration Architect availability through support functions within the production environment.

You Have:

College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, computer engineering or equivalent experience.
Prior experience within the healthcare industry preferred.
TDWI, DAMA, CBIP Certification preferred.
Seven years’ minimum experience in a technical role.
Four years’ minimum experience in technical specification design.
Strong customer-service orientation
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use various modeling tools to document systems and flows.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

You May Also have:

Prior development life cycle experience.
Direct, hands-on experience with tier-one applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Qlikview, Xcelsius, MS Reporting Services, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Oracle Data Integrator, MicroStrategy, Cognos.
Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Warehouse loading, and Fact-Finding Techniques.
Experience in creation and/ or usage of ETL Design Specifications.
Strong ability to analyze functional requirements and design technical solutions according to specifications.
Comprehensive understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices.
