U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Automation Test Engineer to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
The Automation Test Engineer is a generalist that combines aspects of a traditional developer and tester into a single position responsible for the design and release of quality code in short, releasable, and iterative increments.

Responsibilities include:

Execute true end-to-end development and testing of software products in an agile lifecycle.
Partner with key technical and business stakeholders, the agile developer will help refine the product vision, estimate and design a solution, create, purchase, or customize the requisite hardware and software to create the solution, ensure the quality of the final product through manual and automated tests, and support the new software as it is moved to production.
It is critical for this position to have not only the technical skills relative to development and testing, but strong collaboration and communication skills in order to support this entire agile scrum team.

Ensure Continual Refactoring, Delivery, Build, and Deployment

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Work Experience: 5+ years in Application Development/IT Systems Testing, and team leadership
Functional testing experience, including ability to create, maintain, and execute both manual and automated tests

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Mainframe developer or Mainframe QA automation developer
Experience with Cobol, JCL, CA7, REXX, UFT/QTP, AML/QC
Experience with Rational Test Workbench, Java, and Work Load Simulator
Knowledge of VersionOne, TFS and/or Jira
Experience with EasyTrieve
DevOps capabilities – cloud, automation, configuration management (a plus)
Strong attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Strong communication/leadership skills
Strong knowledge in modelling and application design and architecture specific to automation development
Automation programming knowledge of mainframe systems
Knowledge in IT/Software quality assurance and system testing tools
Extensive knowledge in system/application testing and implementation
Strong understanding of Information Management
Experience in: IT and UAT Testing.
Experience in Waterfall and Agile development
Open, honest, collaborative and clear intra-team communication skills
Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate to a solution – can solve business problems without explicit direction
Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes
Basic understanding of system and network architecture
Ability to identify, resolve, and retest defects
Experience with test case modeling and test data management tools and processes
Ability to mentor more junior resources in technical and business topics
Ability to analyze features to deliver solutions that meet business needs
Ability to follow policy requirements related to documentation and other processes
