Associate Testing and Reliability Engineer

In this role the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the engineering activities within UTAS Customer Service, Miramar Worldwide Repair facility. Some, but not all, responsibilities are reviewing and troubleshooting the shop processes by conducting analysis and working in standardizing material consumption and tracking customer reliability to increase customer satisfaction. Troubleshooting, providing engineering support to the functional testing process and ensuring continuous operation of testing equipment, are the primary responsibilities in this role, among other technical expertise. This includes oversight of TPM, and testing procedures, and working directly with the testing equipment vendors

Level of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for projects or multiple tasks within functional discipline
  • Makes significant contribution to their team by applying their knowledge of the discipline
  • Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus
  • Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role—continuing to develop specialized knowledge
  • Developing, coordinating and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluation of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs
  • Recommending design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability
  • Compiling and analyzing performance reports and process control statistics, and investigating analysis of relevant variables potentially affecting product and process
  • Developing mathematical models to identify units, batches, or processes posing failure risks
  • Determining needed environmental testing for units and/or batches
  • Specification of minimum numbers of samples to obtain statistically valid data

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years aviation engineering experience required

Education

  • AA/AS degree required
  • BA/BS degree required
